Instead, you will have to decide if you will allow Blossoms.com’s Automated Introduction Email or AIE. If you do, 25 people will receive a pre-composed email. Expect a rather warm welcome with this feature.

Aside from the AIE, you get more ways to interact with members. Bear in mind that Blossoms.com limits the accessibility of standard accounts. Since there’s no email verification, this move is quite understandable. That way, people with malicious intent won’t be able to message other members.

• Send Smile

Start a wordless flirtation with a member who caught your eye by sending a smile. By sending one, the member will know you’re interested since your profile will appear in their Smile notification. The best part? It’s absolutely free.

• Add to Favourites List

Since standard members can search multiple members, adding one to the Favourites list makes sure you can always backtrack. It saves precious scrolling time.

• Send Email

If you want an interaction complete with images and videos, send an email to a potential match. However, standard users won’t be too thrilled to know that this feature needs payment. If you don’t, you won’t be able to send or receive an email.

• Chat now!

You already sent a smile, what now? It’s time to start chatting with this member. Blossoms.com offer their own private chat room so you can hit it off immediately. This is also a paid feature.

• Video Chat

If you’re ready to move on to the next level you can engage in a video chat with a potential match. Although it’s a paid feature, it’s the closest to actually seeing and dating another member which makes the pay understandable.

• Public Chat Room

Want to get in touch with multiple members at once? Your paid membership allows you to join public chat rooms to your heart’s content.

Although it’s good that Blossoms.com is thinking of ways to protect its users, the limited interaction for non-paying members may not be a fun experience. Another minor beef we had with this dating site was the influx of smiles, emails, and chats we received.

Minutes after finishing the signup, our bare test profile received multiple alerts notifying us about members who found us interesting. Still, we can’t see their messages on a standard account so it was quite easy to brush off the questionable attention.

Profile information on Blossoms.com may not be as long, but it’s enough to help you start a conversation. Members—standard and paying—will see the following details:

• Member Details

This will include the member’s name and Blossoms.com ID, plus their birth date, marital and parental status and even their horoscope. If they are a parent, you also get to ask them if their kids live with them or not.

• Location

You get to see two locations: the member’s hometown and their current place of residence in their profiles. You even get to see their online location (IP address).

• Photos

Members can upload up to 12 photos, and you get to view them all in their full-sized glory. For a little interaction, you even get to vote which among the photos do you like the most.

• Other Information

Remember Step 2 of the registration process? All your answers will reflect here so others get to learn a little more about you.

• Interaction Options

The profile will also include buttons that will help you interact with the member. You can:

• Ask them to make a video
• Add (or remove) them to your Favourite List
• Send an email

• See your email history if you exchanged emails

Since standard members can’t send emails or messages, it’s quite a good thing they can view a user’s complete profile for free. That way, they get to gauge if upgrading is worth it.
