Signing up with Locanto is free. You can directly sign-up from the main website or through Locanto #Dating. All you need is your email address or using your Google Account.

A verification code will be sent to you so you can start browsing for members. Aside from that, a re-Captcha verification is also required for added security and to make sure that you are not a bot.

Locanto has different features. You'll find the ads part for dating which is the Locanto Personals where you can post or browse through the advertisements of people looking for hookups and casual dates. You can message the advertiser right away by clicking the ad. In Locanto #Dating, you have to find a match using your hashtags provided that you and the other member like each other. Once get you matched, you can start messaging each other. 

In #Dating, you cannot manually search other members. But you better set your preferences as accurate as possible so you can meet other members who have the same interest as you have.

You can only input very limited information on your account. Thus, you can only find very limited profile information of other members as well. But you can upload multiple photos. Most members have at least one picture. Since first impressions last on this account, it's better if you'll have a photo too.

The hashtag feature is a part of the matching. So if you'll click honestly the hashtags that best describe your interests, the better matches you'll get. 

Manually browsing of profiles is not possible, but you can browse through the matches until you reach the last person who matches your hashtags.
